She specifically used the word raffle in conjunction to meeting a cash app goal. Illegal.
I love the part where she said "people want something for free". So what is the money that you received? It was for free right? Free money. That free money she used to go to Top Golf...or to get those stupid stuffed animals from a claw machine.

Right but I still don't understand how it was a scam. If people want to be refunded (because they didn't reach the goal) then they're supposed to ask her for it. So far no one has come forward to say they asked for a refund and didn't get it.
I'm not trying to defend her I just don't see where the scam is exactly

She said that she had a cash app goal, i believe of $350-$400 (somewhere in that range)
Next, she said everyone who sent in money to reach the cash app goal would be entered into a raffle for a “free” item of her merch.
Then, she started moving the goalpost saying the donations were for her birthday. Yet, she continued equating the cash app money to the raffle, by saying if the goal wasn’t met she wouldn’t be doing a raffle.
It is illegal to run a raffle in New Mexico unless you are a non-profit. You also have to clearly state the rules and have to make the raffle available to everyone, there cannot be a financial entry (which would be the cash app)
She knew what she was doing, hence continuing to change what the raffle specifications were.
Hence. A scam.
