Topia was failed from the start

Share: X Facebook LinkedIn Reddit
It’s honestly sad because she clearly struggles with developmental delays, ( dosent excuse her behavior) but her mom never got her properly diagnosed. People with those kinds of delays are supposed to have access to special schools or programs that teach life skills, social awareness, and how to handle sensitive topics in a healthy way. Those programs don’t just help with behavior they also teach independence and work skills. If she had those resources, she might have been able to hold a job and avoid ending up homeless. But instead, her mom probably chose to hide her disability out of embarrassment, or maybe Marie herself is too disabled to even know how to apply for the resources her daughter desperately needed. Either way, the support was never there, and she’s the one paying the price for it now.

Sometimes I feel sad for her too but then she comes out with this elitist smug attitude when it comes to getting a job and then my sympathy for her subsides

I get what you mean. She’s extremely entitled and honestly delusional. The thing is, she still has the option to go to government offices, get into programs, and take classes that could help her turn her life around. But her mom raised her into a full-blown narcissist, so she’ll never be able to admit she needs help. At this point, that part is on her.

I truly believe had she of been raised by different parents, she’d be in no where near as bad as a situation she is in right now both physically (ie homeless) and mentally. I truly believe anyone can change for the better, but unfortunately the key to that is the person themselves have to want to change. She’s stuck in a negative mindset unfortunately

Exactly anybody can come from a bad set of parents and be set back by 18 but it's up to yourself at a point to turn it around and break the cycle 🙏🏼 topia chose the path she's on right now , you can only blame your parents for so long.

Tbh i save my pitty for those who are actually suffering, this was her redemption, if she burned her brother and used the rest of the donation from people and got a regular job, people would have left her alone, but she can't, she acts like a hardass, telling people that she will dig up someone's dead wife or family members. People tend to not like this, and they push her shit in, and as expected, she either doubles down or is a giant pussy when people confront her irl, terrible bloodline, let's pray together that she will never have a kid, no child should suffer, or that there is another little Donald jr running around that no one knows about

This! I hope she never has kids. No child deserves this fate. Im not even trying to be funny, but I hope their bloodline ends with Tophia because I couldn't imagine her as a mother. There is nothing redeemable about Tophia. She refuses to put herself first, so how would she ever put her child above her ego and pride?

Something I should have added a lot of people with down syndrome or severe autism also are able to attend those resources and their parents get them IUDs or the copper IUDs because they know they won't be able to fully understand how to take care of a child. That's also something Marie should have done (even tho we know topia dosent sleep around that's another thing she dosent understand the full concept of is sex)

She was obviously dealt a bum hand to begin with; her mother being that neglectful and scatterbrained, her stepfather being schizophrenic with a chomo problem, and her brother being a repeat offender--none of that is a good environment to grow up in. But as people in this sub show just through their own life stories, a bad start or bad environment does not make you a bad person. It's a hindrance for sure but it's not defining. Nothing about her upbringing forced her to leave the volunteer training after only an hour, nothing about it made her retreat online to a lifetime of racism, misogyny, and hate, and nothing about it made her a thief that would rather be homeless than work a day. Those are the conscious choices of a person who is more than capable of knowing better.

Exactly! On point and I've also seen it IRL people come from a crap family but still be able to break the chains ⛓️‍💥 some idiots just rather repeat it because their Bums like topia

There are plenty of people even just in this sub who have been through worse and handled it better. At 31 years of age you have to just put your hands up and admit you got yourself to where you are in life.

All I’m saying is there is no amount of analysis that will have me pitying Tophia

That wasn't my point here at all, this post has nothing to do with people having mercy on her or feeling sorry. My point is people with mental handicaps like her end up in these positions in life because some parents fail to get their kid diagnosed and helped because of embarrassment or in maries case , just plain stupidity herself she shouldn't have been having kids and probably also failed by her mother for the same reason, thankfully topia shouldn't have kids anymore she's 30+ them eggs dying up and no kid will have to continue that vicious cycle .

I love this, this is exactly what this post is about. It's about becoming an adult after growing in a shitty environment and overcoming all the odds, being the black sheep, succeeding by breaking the cycle/chains, healing from trauma and remaking a whole new path for yourself ! We've seen people do it before . That's why in this post I'm not forcing anyone to feel bad for her because she is more than capable to turn this all around for herself just like many others.
