Were the rest of Donald Jr's (brotherchu) family, friends, Angie, and the local town resident aware of his "darker/violent" behavior? Did anyone from his dad's family know of brotherchu's death?

Share: X Facebook LinkedIn Reddit
I happened to stumble onto brotherchu's obituary on "findagrave" (right here): [https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/280696620/donald\_fitzgerald-slydell](https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/280696620/donald_fitzgerald-slydell) and I was surprised to discover how inaccurate and weirdly worded his obituary was written, as the obituary described Donald Jr as someone who "*brought people together with his enthusiasm, his lens, and his vibrant spirit, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met."* Uhh...that don't sound like the brotherchu I've saw on various YouTube and reddit videos, which portrayed him as someone who was "*an oddball who got called out for checking on a little girl."* This quote coming from 11-25-2022 police bodycam footage. Was his extended family from marie or papachu's families aware of his violent or dark behavior? I find it weird that no one had brought it up after his death. What is even more unusual is how no mention of his half sisters Tophia or Sophia, his ex-girlfriend Angie, anyone from his dad's side of the family, or anyone from Marie's extended family was written on his obituary. Typically, obituaries write who the deceased is survived by, as it didn't say that brotherchu was survived by his parents, half sisters, or extended family members...what gives? No one from his family left flowers or a condolence message on his online obituary, as he only has one memory comment on his online obituary. His life was described as "filled with energy, connection, and passion," but the man I saw on tiktok and youtube looked to be a man full of anger, bad intentions, and creepiness as I saw videos describing his abusive behavior towards his ex who he doxxed live on stream and was flirting with minors while his teeth bled. Which is odd because his ex girlfriend Angie posted a few days ago on how much she missed Donald and how she enjoyed her trip to the movies watching "wicked" with Donald while her fiance was away...so why she not posting that on his online obituary? The obituary goes on to say an inaccurate fact that brotherchu built a strong and unique circle of friends, but in reality, his "friends" at the car meet were at best just acquaintances who only interacted with him at the car meets for 2-4 hours a week as one of his "friends" went on the record to say that "*yeah we really didn't know Donald, he was just a dude who would show up at the car meets*." This makes me wonder who wrote this obituary for brotherchu as it appears the writer didn't have an accurate understanding of brotherchu or didn't know him well.

That’s because it was up to Tophia to send the funeral ppl the info or talk to them. She prob didn’t call them back so they did the best they could. Tophia was the only one the had to contact and without her input this is what happened.

That’s the kind of generic stuff they say when they ask the family to come up with something and the family can’t be bothered and the funeral director/orator has to make up something themself.

that explains a lot. weird how they didn't ask his ex girlfriend angie to say some words about him.

That’s what I said too. It’s tragic she would be too lazy to send the correct info yet 2 days later we were getting celebrity news and nothing about her brother. Tophia you’re very easy to read. You are evil and diabolical in every way.

To be honest, I think even if they did know didn’t matter to them smh. An obituary is to honor someone’s life so 99% of the time it’ll be something uplifting their memory leaving out the negatives

i thought it would be different in brotherchu's case considering how he and the slydells were considered the town outcasts/villages idiots considering how he was called out for creeping on a little girl and for beating his ex angie.

hell, on my instagram feed I saw a true story about an obituary written by the two children of a woman who abandoned those same 2 children when they were babies. The woman's 2 children, now grown adults, wrote the obituary for their dead mom and they straight up wrote about how their mom abandoned them as babies because she got pregnant with her her husband's brother after she had sex with his brother and started a new family. link below

[https://www.npr.org/2018/06/07/617948070/she-will-not-be-missed-children-deliver-harsh-send-off-in-mother-s-obituary](https://www.npr.org/2018/06/07/617948070/she-will-not-be-missed-children-deliver-harsh-send-off-in-mother-s-obituary)

the 2 children of that woman, now grown adults, wrote in the public obituary of their dead mom to , and I quote their exact words, "go to hell mom"

I thought that the same would be done to brotherchu's obituary considering his criminal record for beating angie, creeping on a little girl, and doxxing angie?

Oooooh I love that one! Even as a funeral director who generally believes in having respect for the dead…some people are just *really that bad* and the survivors of their abuse deserve to speak the truth.

Honestly, you need to take obituary with a grain of salt. The family member who wrote it is grieving and wants people to remember the good things about them. My grandma’s was beautifully written but in real life she was a nightmare. She slapped the shit out of me when I was 🍇, called me whore and convince my dad not to press charges. 3 of her care taker quits and no one wants to rent/buy her house because tenants said a malevolent spirit hunts the house (probably her). But there is a line in her obituary that says, “Her grandchildren are her pride and joy and she was a light to the people around her.”

If you feel comfortable doing so, would you tell us more about why the tenants say that there’s a malevolent spirit haunting the house?

I understand if you don’t want to and it’s something you don’t like to talk about. And I’m sorry she did that to you.

Oh no worries! They bought that property and built the house around 2010 I believe. So it’s not like it was hunted before. I been there a few times and it’s incredibly bright and modern. But since she died, the care taker didn’t want to spend the night because she would hear unexplainable noises. They rented it out and tenants said the same thing. One of them said she felt someone pushed her down the stairs (my dad installed a anti slip carpet for my grandma) and one family moved in and they said their dogs and their new born baby would have unexplainable scratches. My family doesn’t believe in paranormal but non of them wants to stay in that damn house. Lol Just a preface, my grandma from maternal side and grandpa died in their same house. My mom and her sister died on my house. Both houses are normal. Sorry for the rant. 😂

It’s not surprising really. In my town, a guy was arrested for manufacturing and selling child sexual abuse material. He ended up killing himself in jail. His family stated in his obituary that he was best guy in the world, who loved his children and was a dedicated Christian, along with more bullshit to make him out to be a great guy.

Well for the last part that’s 1% of the time, cos most of the time it’s just a memorial honoring how much of a “good person” they were even when they weren’t smh… but we also have to remember none of the people who have called him out for his disgusting behavior were able to take part in his funeral and the handling of the service.
u/Ok-Ebb2872 • 1 month ago • score 1
i am honestly shocked a troll didn't crash the memorial or randomly went on the mic to talk about all the bad things he did.

That’s what I was thinking too tbh, I think that’s one of the only things tophia was actually quiet about and didn’t actually dox. There’s like nooo footage from that service at all and I didn’t realize that until recently.
